Terms of Use
Effective October 9, 2026
These terms apply to your use of Phloto at https://phloto.app and any Phloto app. By using Phloto, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Phloto.
Using Phloto
Phloto lets you arrange your own photos into videos and GIFs. You may use it for personal and commercial projects, subject to these terms.
Your content
- Your photos and the videos you make remain yours. We do not claim any ownership of them.
- Phloto processes your photos on your device, so we do not receive or store them. See the Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the rights to the photos you use, and permission from the people shown in them. For photos of children, that means permission from a parent or guardian.
Acceptable use
Do not use Phloto to:
- identify, track, or monitor people without their knowledge or consent;
- create content that harasses, sexualizes, impersonates, or misleads about real people;
- infringe anyone's copyright, privacy, or publicity rights; or
- break the law, or interfere with or attempt to misuse Phloto's services, including the Google Photos relay.
Shared links
When you share a video or GIF, anyone with the link can watch and download it. You are responsible for what you share. There is no tolerance for objectionable content: do not share anything sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or that shows people without their permission, or that you do not have the rights to.
- Every shared page has a Report link. We review reports, usually within 24 hours.
- We remove shared videos that break these terms, and we may turn off sharing for, or close, accounts that do.
- A video reported by several people is hidden until we have reviewed it.
- To report something directly, email hello@phloto.app.
Third-party services
If you import from Google Photos, your use of Google's services is also governed by Google's terms. Phloto is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
No warranty
Phloto is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Face detection, recognition, and alignment are automatic and can make mistakes. Browser storage can be cleared, so keep backups of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Phloto and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Phloto.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and its effective date.
